Traci and I are sisters who moved to the Central Coast of California to enjoy a slower, more meaningful lifestyle. In 2006, we opened a small specialty food store in Cayucos called "The Little Market." We've had a lot of success with our market, but nothing compares to the popularity of our signature Brown Butter Sea Salt Cookie. Customers buy them by the dozens! Maybe it's because we gently brown the butter, hand-roll each cookie, and finish them with a savory pinch of sea salt. In December 2008 we launched our website for the Brown Butter Sea Salt Cookie and asked our sister, Gina, to design our packaging with similar loving care. In January 2009, we started the year with a new name and the Brown Butter Cookie Company was born. Visitors to our shop are welcomed with the scent of freshly baked cookies and samples right off the baking tray.
